Please read these terms before you use Leadtrotech ICT Academy. They explain how accounts, enrolment, payments and certificates work, and what we expect from each other. We have kept the language as plain as we can.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Leadtrotech ICT Academy (part of Leadtrotech Technologies Limited, Lagos, Nigeria). By creating an account, enrolling in a course or using our website, you confirm that you have read and accept them, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission before you register. We ask for their details and for you to confirm that they know and agree, and, if you give us their email address, we may write to them about your registration.
2. Your account
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date. Your name appears on receipts and certificates, so please enter it as you want it written.
- Your account is for you alone. Keep your password private and do not share your login. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- Some accounts (tutors, registration officers, writers and admins) are created by the academy for a specific role. Those accounts can only be used for that role.
3. Courses and enrolment
- The course pages describe what each course covers, how long it runs and what it costs. Enrolment for a cohort closes when it is full or its enrol-by date has passed.
- Live classes happen online on platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. We may reschedule or cancel a class, and we will tell you in the app.
- We may change tutors, schedules, lesson order or materials to keep a course running well. We will keep the core content of the course you enrolled in.
- Self-paced content opens as the course allows, for example week by week.
4. Fees and payment
- Fees are in Naira (₦) and are shown on each course page. The fee that applies is the one shown when you enrol.
- You can pay online through Paystack, or by bank transfer. A bank transfer is confirmed by our team before your access starts.
- If you choose an instalment plan, each instalment is due on the date shown. If an instalment stays unpaid past its lock date, your access to the course can be paused until it is paid. Paying the full fee up front is the cheaper option, as shown on the course page.
- Discount codes and referral or ambassador codes follow the rules shown with them and may not be combined or reused unless stated.
- Fees are non-refundable once your enrolment is confirmed. See our Refund Policy for when an enrolment counts as confirmed and what happens if a payment was made in error.
5. Certificates
A certificate is awarded when you meet the requirements for your course. These are set for each course and shown to you in your dashboard. In general they include:
- completing the required assignments and having them graded;
- reaching the course's pass mark;
- for live courses, attending the minimum share of live classes set for that course.
The academy reviews and approves certificates before they are issued. Each certificate has a code that anyone can use to confirm it on our verification page. We may withdraw a certificate that was obtained dishonestly or issued by mistake.
6. How you must use the platform
Please be fair to other students and respect the work of the people who built the courses. You agree not to:
- share your login, or let anyone else attend classes or sit quizzes as you;
- copy, record, share, sell or post course videos, replays, live classes or materials without our written permission;
- cheat, copy other people's work or submit work that is not your own;
- post anything abusive, hateful, threatening or unlawful in questions, notes or messages, or harass tutors or other students;
- upload files that contain viruses or that you have no right to share;
- try to break into, overload or interfere with the platform, or access information that is not yours.
7. What you submit
Your assignments, questions, notes and photo stay yours. By submitting them you allow us to store them, and to show them to your tutors and the academy's staff, as needed to run your course, grade your work and support you. Only submit things you have the right to share.
8. Our content
The courses, videos, replays, written materials, quizzes, logos and design of the platform belong to Leadtrotech Technologies Limited or the people who license them to us. Once you are enrolled, you may use them for your own personal learning. You may not copy, resell or distribute them.
9. Referral, ambassador and employer programmes
- Referral and ambassador rewards follow the rules shown in the programme. We may withhold or reverse rewards earned through fake sign-ups or misuse.
- Listing your profile for employers is optional and needs your consent. We do not promise you a job, an interview or any income, and we are not responsible for what an employer decides.
10. Availability
We work to keep the platform running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. It may be down for maintenance, and services we rely on (such as video, payment or live-class platforms) can have problems we do not control.
11. Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits any right or responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited. Beyond that, and as far as the law permits, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses (for example lost income or opportunities) that arise from using the platform, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the course the claim relates to.
12. Suspending or closing an account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example for cheating, sharing logins or abusing others, and we will tell you why where we can. You can stop using the platform at any time and ask us to close your account. Anything that already applies to the money you paid is covered in the Refund Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using the platform after a change, you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
